Issaquah, WA, Aug. 7, 2013 – Do you know the way to San Jose? It happens to be the starting point for Bicycle Adventures’ six-day fall epic; Death Valley Bike Tour, a 500-mile two-wheel journey averaging 70 to 100 miles per day crowning the Sierra Nevadas, past Yosemite National Park and dropping into Death Valley and Badwater Basin. The tour concludes with a spin over Jubilee Pass and into some well deserved R&R at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Death Valley Bike Tour is one of several trips Bicycle Adventures has on its Fall 2013 schedule that includes a Southwest tour coinciding with an October hot air balloon festival in New Mexico.

“We call the San Jose to Vegas tour an ‘epic trip’ because it targets advanced cyclists,” said Todd Starnes, owner and president of Bicycle Adventures (http://bicycleadventures.com/), the Pacific Northwest-based active travel company specializing in two-wheel tours in North America, Canada, Hawaii and New Zealand.

Bikes, all meals and five nights of accommodation are included in the per person, double, rate of $2,415. The trip departs on Sept. 29. See: http://bicycleadventures.com/destinations/california-bike-tours/Death-Valley-Bike-Tour

Then it’s on to the legendary Enchanted Circle’s 84 miles of stunning scenery. Enroute, cyclists who average 40-60 miles daily on bikes will raft the whitewater of the Rio Grande, visit artist Georgia O’Keeffe’s Ghost Ranch and hike among ancient Anasazi cliff dwellings and pueblos in Bandelier National Monument. The trip concludes in Albuquerque in time for Day 1 of the world famous Balloon Fiesta. See:
