Dolomite Mountains
Cooks Up Gourmet Ski Safaris
In Italy’s UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites

DOLOMITES, Italy, July 22, 2013 – Italy’s active leader in guided and self-guided mountain travel, Dolomite Mountains s.r.l. http://dolomitemountains.com/en/home.htm, invites gourmands and winter ski aficionados to sup superbly after days of skiing serenely in the beauty of Italy’s Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Center.

Dolomites Gourmet Ski Safari & Tour marries, over six days and five nights, a unique way to ski with Michelin-starred cuisine spotlighting the flavors of the Italian, Austrian and Ladin cultures of the Dolomites.

Guests ski from mountain to valley with lift service back up again, in all traversing 12 groomed ski destinations featuring 1,200 kilometers (746 miles) of prepared pistes (all on one ski pass!). Evenings, the rifugios, comfortable mountain lodgings, receive guests for culinary and wine-tasting runs. Throughout, guest luggage is shuttled to the next overnight.

The ski holiday begins in Alta Badia, known for its Ladin culture and cuisine, and ends in a refined Italian style in Cortina d’Ampezzo. The culinary route includes appetizers, primo, secondo, and dessert, each at a different rifugio, together with some outstanding wines.

“You may never ski the same run or taste the same wine twice! Now with the launch of this new itinerary you can combine a love of skiing with the region’s culinary magic,” notes Agustina Lagos-Marmol, Dolomite Mountains founder.

Group and private departures are available from mid December through mid April. There is one guide assigned for up to six guests. Professional UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Ski Guides are selected for language preference: English, French, Spanish and Italian. The per person rate (minimum six) is €2760. This includes a trip and logistics briefing, map, accommodations and gourmet meals, guide services, Dolomiti Superskipass, local transportation, luggage transfers during the entire itinerary, medical and evacuation insurance and Italian VAT tax.  See:
