Air Greenland’s convenient, non-stop summer service!  

 

Nuuk, GREENLAND – February 15, 2008 – Greenland continues to capture the attention of many and is fast becoming one of the world’s most buzzed about destinations.  Due to the overwhelming interest that U.S. visitors have shown in visiting this majestic destination, Air Greenland today announces expanded non-stop flight service for the 2008 summer schedule.  The non-stop service between Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) and Greenland’s Kangerlussuaq Airport (SFJ) will begin earlier and stretch further into the highly-traveled summer season, with service now starting on June 26, 2008 and concluding on August 28, 2008. 

 

Launched in May 2007, Air Greenland’s non-stop air service travels every Thursday between the US and Greenland.  The quick 5 hour trip and slight 2 hour time difference makes this exotic destination entirely accessible.  Moreover, the air travel experience provides an extraordinary bird’s eye view of Greenland’s varied terrains and awe-inspiring iceberg formations that have recently spurred so much talk and excitement! 

 

The non-stop air service between Baltimore and Kangerlussuaq will be available once again in 2008:

 

  • Flight availability beginning: June 26, 2008
  • Flight availability ending: August 28, 2008
  • Flights offered to and from Greenland every Thursday.
