Offers 2012 Pricing on 2013 Vacations Booked by Dec. 31,
Highlighting Popular Hawaii Tours

Issaquah, WA, Dec. 12, 2012 – Bicycle Adventures http://bicycleadventures.com/, a Pacific Northwest-based active travel company specializing in two-wheel tours in North America, Hawaii (the Big Island) and New Zealand, announces that bookings made by Dec. 31, 2012, for 2013 tours, including popular Hawaii programs, are held at this year’s prices, offering per person savings of up to $360 on some tours.

“This should help Santa on his way,” said Todd Starnes, company president.

Always popular for bike enthusiasts who also may be last-minute Holiday shoppers are Bicycle Adventures’ biking holidays on the Big Island of Hawaii.  These include:

The Hawaii Family Tour departing Dec. 27, 2013 is $2,410 per person if booked before year’s end (2012 tour sold out). Families experience the very best from a child’s point of view – biking scenic back roads, hiking to hidden waterfalls, watching lava pour into the sea, snorkeling with green sea turtles and myriads of rainbow-hued fish, and playing in a giant thermal hot spring overlooking the ocean.

The company’s Hawaii Classic is a seven-day tour that circumnavigates the perimeter of the Big Island experiencing the phenomenal diversity in scenery and natural wonders. Averaging 45 miles per day cyclists visit many of the island’s historic and sacred places, and spend two nights discovering Kilauea’s secrets in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Book before 12/31/12, the price is $3,180 per person with multiple departure dates.

Budget-minded cyclists may opt for the Hawaii Casual six day/five night bike tour priced at $2,410 with the special promotion. New for 2013 is a two-night stay at the award-winning Sheraton Keauhou Bay to conclude the ride.  There are multiple departure dates.

New for 2013 is the company’s inaugural Hawaii Training Tour designed in response to past guest demand to help improve bike handling skills (this year featuring celebrity coaching by pro cyclist Craig Lewis). Equipped with experience and anecdotes from teams Garmin, HTC, and Asia's Champion Systems, Craig will share his World Tour Pro training tips and sommelier skills. The eight-day (Saturday to Saturday) program is priced at $3,760 and scheduled for Jan. 26 – Feb.2, 2013. A few spaces are still available for Santa’s sack.

“We are the Hawaii cycle tour specialists,” adds Starnes. Bicycle Adventures has run cycle tour vacations on the Big Island since 1990.

Bicycle Adventures has also thrown down the gauntlet to Santa claiming “bikes are faster than reindeer, that our guides carry all the toys and that chimneys aren’t so tight because collectively we have burned up 7 million calories this year,” said Starnes.
