OKTOBERFEST AT THE MILL IN LOUDONVILLE, OHIO

            The cool weather brings with it spectacular fall foliage and OktoberFest.  And once again the Wolf Creek Grist Mill in Loudonville offers its' popular annual OktoberFest Saturday September 29 from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm.  

            Enjoy an Old World style German atmosphere at the Grist Mill with great food, live bands, beer and wine too.  There will be over 60 varieties of foreign and domestic beers.  Beer and wine tasting is available.  In addition enjoy the Beer Olympics and Corn Hole Tournaments.  The Ohio State University game will be televised too.  An auction for the benefit of the Wolf Creek Grist Mill Museum will be held at 6:00 pm. 

            The event will be held rain or shine in large heated tents.  Free transportation for patrons of six participating campgrounds, hotels, and bed-n-breakfast will be provided to and from the event from 3:00 to 11:00 pm.

            There is a $1 charge to enter the grounds for those 10 to 20 years of age.  Admission for 21 years or older is $5.  Logo mugs, food and drinks are available for purchase separately.  Admission tickets available in advance at Lingenfelter Jewelers 129 W. Main Street downtown or the day of event.  Order tickets on-line to receive a free logo 14 oz beer mug.

            OktoberFest guests can also enjoy the Wolf Creek Grist Mill.  An authentic 1831 era mill, it was moved from north of Loudonville to its' current location near Mohican State Park.    In addition to the Mill, climb up the hill to the observation deck.   Stroll the trails and listen to the wind in the trees.  The Fromme Cabin was moved to the property a few years ago and serves as the Visitor Center.  Since 2000, the Mill has been an all volunteer project that preserves a part of area and natural history for all the enjoy now and in the future.
